    Get PDF
The study is aimed to identify various human resource practices in the public healthcare sector and to measure the level of human resource practices. The study adopts the perceptual view of healthcare professionals such as medical officers and staff nurses working in Primary Health Centres of Tamilnadu. A survey using a questionnaire is used to collect data from healthcare professionals. The results indicated that human resource practices such as job autonomy and job security are perceived to be useful and necessary, while training and performance management system are found to provide necessary inputs for carrying job duties and practices such as career growth opportunities and compensation need the attention of the officials of Health and Family Welfare department of Tamilnadu Government for enhancing the utility of these practices

Is adenomyosis, a frequent association of abnormal uterine bleeding? : a retrospective study on hysterectomy samples in the rural area of Melmaruvathur

    Get PDF
Background: Abnormal uterine bleeding is one of the common gynecological problem and the causes varies among different age groups. The objective of the study was to find the prevalence of adenomyosis among hysterectomy samples of rural patients and associated pathological lesions as a cause for abnormal uterine bleeding. Methods: A retrospective cross sectional study was carried out in pathology department of Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi institute of medical sciences from Jan 2014 to Dec 2015.A total of 82 hysterectomy samples operated for abnormal uterine bleeding were analyzed both grossly and microscopically. Results: The common pathology noted was adenomyosis 56% followed by leiomyoma 35%. The mean age of patients commonly affected was 45.86 years with a confidence interval of 95% (43-46years).Conclusions: Adenomyosis is a frequent association of abnormal uterine bleeding and it commonly affects perimenopausal age group patients of 43-46years. Benign pathology is a frequent finding and malignant lesion is very rare

Human Movement recognization or gesture recognization via mathematical algorithm is attracting great attention in recent years mainly because of its applications the key element of such system is smart user interface which can actually recognizes the gestures or the movement and convey the same message. Which is actually quite challenging because of its various parameter? In this paper I am try to work on this challenge of traditional sensors and improve the interaction between machine and sensing system by usage of radars to detect the gestures

Adiabatic charge pumping through a dot at the junction of N quantum wires

We study adiabatic charge pumping through a quantum dot placed at the junction of NN quantum wires. We explicitly map out the pattern of pumped charge as a function of the time-varying tunneling parameters coupling the wires to the dot and the phase between any two time varying parameters controlling the shape of the dot. We find that with N−2N-2 time-independent well-coupled leads, the maximum pumped charge in the remaining two leads is strongly suppressed with increasing NN, leading to the possibility of tuning of the pumped charge, by modulating the coupling of the N−2N-2 leads.Comment: 5 pages, 6 figures, version to be published in PR

A Comparative Study of Redundant Constraints Identification Methods in Linear Programming Problems

    Get PDF
The objective function and the constraints can be formulated as linear functions of independent variables in most of the real-world optimization problems. Linear Programming (LP) is the process of optimizing a linear function subject to a finite number of linear equality and inequality constraints. Solving linear programming problems efficiently has always been a fascinating pursuit for computer scientists and mathematicians. The computational complexity of any linear programming problem depends on the number of constraints and variables of the LP problem. Quite often large-scale LP problems may contain many constraints which are redundant or cause infeasibility on account of inefficient formulation or some errors in data input. The presence of redundant constraints does not alter the optimal solutions(s). Nevertheless, they may consume extra computational effort. Many researchers have proposed different approaches for identifying the redundant constraints in linear programming problems. This paper compares five of such methods and discusses the efficiency of each method by solving various size LP problems and netlib problems. The algorithms of each method are coded by using a computer programming language C. The computational results are presented and analyzed in this paper

    Birds in Sangam Literature

    Get PDF
Living things in world is of two division one is plants and the other is animals. Animals are both single-celled and multi-celled and the multi-celled animals have invertebrates. Animals without invertebrates are the water-dwelling fishes, the water-land-dwelling frogs, the crawling snake, crocodiles and so on. The poets of the Sangam period who looked closely at the birds have studied their life patterns. Sangha literature characterizes birds as 'Pullinangal'. Only the peacock and the parrot are better described among the Pullinangal. Asunam, Thutunam, Puravu, Chicks, Bettle and Iruthalaipul are some of the birds described in Sangam literature. Sangam songs describes how these birds live in the five regions of Kurinji, Mullai, Marutham, Neithal and Palai. Thus the article examines the birds shot in the five land forms of Tamilnadu

Study on Performance Analysis of CMOS RF front-end circuits for 2.4GHz Wireless Applications

    Get PDF
In this paper, low voltage design concepts and new CMOS front-end circuits for 2.4GHz wireless applications are presented. The performances of these circuits are analysed and compared with other existing structures using TSMC 0.18-μm CMOS technology scale. The design trade-offs between impedance matching, power gain and noise figure of low-noise amplifiers are highlighted. The advantage of the introduced mixer topology is expressed in terms of conversion gain, noise figure and linearity. At a supply voltage of 1.8V, the design and performance analysis have been performed using Agilent’s Advanced Design System (ADS2009) software

Design of software-oriented technician for vehicle’s fault system prediction using AdaBoost and random forest classifiers

Detecting and isolating faults on heavy duty vehicles is very important because it helps maintain high vehicle performance, low emissions, fuel economy, high vehicle safety and ensures repair and service efficiency. These factors are important because they help reduce the overall life cycle cost of a vehicle. The aim of this paper is to deliver a Web application model which aids the professional technician or vehicle user with basic automobile knowledge to access the working condition of the vehicles and detect the fault subsystem in the vehicles. The scope of this system is to visualize the data acquired from vehicle, diagnosis the fault component using trained fault model obtained from improvised Machine Learning (ML) classifiers and generate a report. The visualization page is built with plotly python package and prepared with selected parameter from On-board Diagnosis (OBD) tool data. The Histogram data is pre-processed with techniques such as null value Imputation techniques, Standardization and Balancing methods in order to increase the quality of training and it is trained with Classifiers. Finally, Classifier is tested and the Performance Metrics such as Accuracy, Precision, Re-call and F1 measure which are calculated from the Confusion Matrix. The proposed methodology for fault model prediction uses supervised algorithms such as Random Forest (RF), Ensemble Algorithm like AdaBoost Algorithm which offer reasonable Accuracy and Recall. The Python package joblib is used to save the model weights and reduce the computational time. Google Colabs is used as the python environment as it offers versatile features and PyCharm is utilised for the development of Web application. Hence, the Web application, outcome of this proposed work can, not only serve as the perfect companion to minimize the cost of time and money involved in unnecessary checks done for fault system detection but also aids to quickly detect and isolate the faulty system to avoid the propagation of errors that can lead to more dangerous cases
